12.84.040 Operating rules for golf carts. (a) Any person driving a golf cart on designated city streets must comply with all applicable city and state traffic laws. (b) No person shall drive a golf cart on a designated city road after dark unless the golf cart meets the equipment requirements of the California Vehicle Code. (c) No person shall operate a golf cart on a designated urban highway for any purpose other than the transportation of persons and golf equipment to or from a golf course. (Order 1405 § 1 (Part), 1991) The Manager has full power and control over all areas of the Club, including but not limited to the golf course, practice tees and other practice areas, and may open, close or reserve them, whether for certain divisions, for specific periods or otherwise as the Manager deems appropriate. Members must present their membership card when using club facilities and services. All costs incurred by the use of the Card are the responsibility of the Member concerned. If a member loses their card, they must notify the club immediately. Members who wish to play golf on the club`s golf course must have valid golf handicaps or proof of achievement.
The maximum disability for men is 28 years and for women 40 years. Holders of a Certificate of Knowledge of the Ring (PC) may only play golf on the course on prescribed days and at certain times. Members who do not have a certificate of competency in golf must request and pass a test administered by the professional or official or appointed member of the club. Unless otherwise agreed by the club, each main member can book a flight on weekends or holidays and play in one session per day. Minors between the ages of 12 and 18 may not play on the Club`s golf course unless they have a valid and current golf handicap recognized by the Club or a certificate of competency issued by the Club and are accompanied by an adult member with a valid and current golf handicap recognized by the Club. Minors under the age of 16 are not allowed to drive a golf cart on the course. The principal member is responsible for the conduct and conduct of family members and any damage they suffer. All core members or candidates who play golf on the club course must take out liability insurance, accidents and other loss and damage on the club grounds.
When family members start playing golf, it is the responsibility of the primary member and the candidate to purchase the necessary insurance. The selection of cars for the private owner is extensive and offers a variety of options. One of the most popular, due to rising summer temperatures, is a rooftop air conditioner. Although I sweated for many rounds, the golfers I spoke to say that things really work and make the summer game much more enjoyable and avoid having three jersey changes to get to 18th. Other popular options include making your car look like your dream car with a custom body and grille, and adding a killer audio system that you can spawn while your opponent prepares for the swing. “My personal opinion is that I don`t want to be on the road in a golf cart,” Martin said. So, put the Coachella Valley on your golf bucket list. There are gorgeous courses to play and some pretty stylish ways to get from tee to green (driving gloves and a scarf blowing in the wind are optional). Golf carts, if allowed to drive on California roads, must never exceed a weight of 3,000 pounds with the required speed limit of less than 25 miles per hour.
These two factors are always important to consider if you want to drive a golf cart here in California. California standard law requires golf carts considered low-speed vehicles to be equipped with the following devices in this case: headlights, brake lights, turn signal lights, reflectors, parking brakes, windshields, seat belts, taillights, mirrors and registration numbers. Another thing to keep in mind with these additional regulations is that golf carts should drive up to 20 miles per hour, but should not exceed 25 miles, mostly on paved roads. Designated municipalities are permitted to use covered passenger compartments in their golf carts in the desired number of seat belts. One of the best examples of golf carts living in the desert is the PGA West community. This community of 1,422 homes behind gated entrances has six different golf courses (three private and three semi-private), 54 swimming pools and five lakes. It is estimated that more than 2,000 golf carts travel the fairways and roads. Residents use their carts to play golf, of course, but also to visit clubhouses and spas and meet neighbors. The same goes for two huge adult communities in Del Webb where social experience is determined by the ownership and use of golf carts. A third community planned by Del Webb recently opened in Rancho Mirage, which will significantly increase the number of rail cars.
Once the member has acquired knowledge in handling golf clubs on a driving range with the help of a professional, he can seek expert advice. This evaluation is carried out on the club`s driving range. A Golf Rules and Etiquette Questionnaire is then conducted to assess understanding of the Rules of Golf established by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&A) and the United States Golf Association (USGA). Drivers are allowed to drive vehicles at low speeds, including golf carts. The California Highway Patrol said there are ground rules that apply to everyone, no matter what city you live in. Designated communities are typically located in towns and villages near golf clubs and golf courses, or in places where golf carts are treated as necessary for the community`s livelihood. The Golf Handicap Reduction applies to all competitions, i.e. club, inter-club, private and open competitions The handicap reduction does not apply to matchplay and multi-ball events and 4-ball competitions with best ball. The discount is effective immediately if the contest is played on weekdays, but will take effect the following MONDAY if the contest takes place on weekends. The Club has the authority to review the golf handicaps of players who are not members of the Club in competitions played at the Club, although their golf handicaps are not maintained at the Club. It is the player`s responsibility to inform his home club of the reduction in the golf handicap.
There are over 100 public and private courses, many of which are housed in gated private communities where homes start at $1,000,000 and up. Both types of courses maintain fleets of very beautiful golf carts, beautifully maintained and capable of doing two laps a day. However, an emerging trend is the purchase of highly individualized and personalized shopping carts. Near a clubhouse, you can see trolleys that look like a Rolls Royce, a Mercedes or even a Ford Raptor. Options are displayed indefinitely. Another thing to keep in mind is that while communities are allowed to make up their minds, driving a golf cart on California roads requires that the speed not exceed 25 miles per hour. The use of golf carts to play on the course is optional and limited to cart paths if the signs are placed on hole #1 and the tee box of hole #10. Players must pay the required fees for the use of golf carts. The Club has the right to adjust, modify, reduce or waive fees at its sole discretion.
The allocation of golf carts to players is at the sole discretion of club officials. Players must return the golf carts to the attendant in the lodge who will search for damage before confirming the return of the cart. In case of damage, the member concerned is obliged to pay for the damage. All players must obey traffic rules and directions on the course and park the golf cart in designated parking lots. All players must use golf carts as intended. Safety must be considered at all times and therefore it is important that all users are aware of the methods of moving on a golf cart. If a player has any doubts about using a golf cart, he should seek advice and clarification from a beginner or caddy master. All players are obliged to take care of the golf cart in their care.
If a player intentionally or otherwise breaks or damages the club`s golf cart, he must pay the club the cost of compensation for the damage. If the damage was caused intentionally or negligently, the player concerned may be subject to disciplinary action by the Disciplinary Committee. Each golf cart is allowed to carry 2 players and 2 golf bags. Players must sit down when the car is moving. It is forbidden for players to stand on the side or tailgate, sit on the mudguard or fenders, place their feet or golf shoes against the windshield, etc. Players must stick to golf cart direction signs Tim Martin owns caddyshack and said there are a number of things a golf cart must drive on the road. However, the exact rules of driving on the roads vary from city to city. A Member may register seven (7) guests on weekdays and three (3) guests on weekends. The member is responsible for ensuring that his/her guests have valid disabilities.
Golf handicaps issued by clubs affiliated to national golf federations are recognized by the club. A member who introduces a guest must play with the guest. It is the member`s responsibility to ensure that his/her guests pay the respective green, golf cart and caddy fees. The member is responsible for the conduct and conduct of his guests at all times. No member or their guests should reprimand any of the employees, however, a complaint against a staff member may be filed with the manager. Guests must behave decently at all times and observe courtesy and etiquette on the golf course.
