(4) A licensee may advertise bingo only to the extent and in the manner enacted under this Act. If the agent permits a licensee to promote bingo, the licensee must specify in the notice the purposes for which the net proceeds will be used by the licensee. (2) If the Office determines that an applicant is eligible and that the applicant is paying a reasonable fee, the Bureau may issue a bingo hall licence to operate a facility leased to bingo licensees. A regular weekly bingo game can be a regular fundraiser for your organization. While the basics of a bingo night are universal, there are many types of games that can be played to add excitement to the event. In addition, Car Bingo is popular and can extend into the cold months when FM radio frequencies are used. § 11a. (1) An applicant for a licence or renewal of a licence to operate a bingo hall under this Act shall submit a written application to the Bureau in the form prescribed by a rule made under this Act. (8) All cards for the Michigan progressive jackpot bingo game are sold by the licensee at a uniform price without discount for the purchase of more than 1 card. (a) Bingo is organized solely for the entertainment and recreation of members and guests of the seniors` club, group or home and is not used for fundraising. (b) Only members, members` guests and staff of the seniors` club, group or house may participate in the operation of the bingo.
(c) Players will not be charged more than 25 cents for a bingo card and the total value of sales of all prizes and goods awarded in a single day will not exceed $100.00. (d) All Bingo profits will be used for reasonable prizes and expenses incurred in the operation of Bingo and no one will be compensated solely for participating in the operation of Bingo. (2) A person who has been convicted of an offence referred to in § 17 or any other gambling offence shall not be entitled to serve as an official of a licensee or to participate in the conduct of bingo, millionaire party, prize draw, number game or charity game for a period of 1 year after final conviction. If the person holds a permit issued under this Act, he loses the permit and is not entitled to apply for the issue or reissue of the permit for a period of 1 year after the final judgment of the conviction. This Act came into force on April 1, 1973 for administrative and licensing purposes, but bingo could not be legally operated under that Act until June 30, 1973. Over the years, more and more charity tickets sold at Bingo are sold for interactive seal card and bingo games. Chapter 19 (1) Subject to subsection (2), any other Act that provides for punishment or obstruction for any person who conducts or participates in a bingo game, millionaire party or charity game; sells or owns equipment used to organize a millionaire`s bingo or party; that allows bingo, a millionaire`s party or a charity game to be held on its premises; or any other act related to bingo, a millionaire`s party or a charity game does not apply to such conduct if it is done in accordance with this Act or the rules made under it. § 5c. (1) The value of any prize or consolation prize awarded in a Michigan progressive jackpot bingo game is not subject to the prize restrictions in Section 3a(3). 432.105b. Licensed bingo games; Wheelchair seats (2) “Event” means any occasion of a bingo, millionaire`s party, sweepstakes, charity game or numbers game authorized under this Act. (2) Under conditions of extreme hardship determined by the Commissioner, the Commissioner may waive 1 or more requirements of a qualified organization referred to in section 3 to permit the licensing of a special bingo, millionaire party or sweepstakes if all of the following conditions are met: RETHINK YOUR BINGO. This maximizes profits and gives your licensees additional opportunities to win prizes. Organizations that sell tickets to charity games need to be aware of their federal tax obligations. Organizations awarding a raffle prize of more than $599 or a bingo prize of more than $1,199 should be aware of the responsibility of the players. These obligations are described in these links. (2) The prize awarded to the winner of a Michigan progressive jackpot bingo game may be a predetermined amount, which may not exceed $500.00 or 50% of card sales at the first bingo opportunity. 3. A bingo hall licence expires at 12 noon on the last day of February or, if the applicant does not own the facility, on the expiry date of the applicant`s rental agreement, if that date is earlier than the last day of February of the current licence term. (5) If a Michigan Progressive Jackpot Prize has been carried over from a previous bingo event, the new prize amount will be the total amount transferred plus 50% of the card sales for the Michigan Progressive Jackpot Bingo game for the current bingo occasion. (a) On the first bingo opportunity, a player is not required to receive less bingo than the number of calls prescribed by the Commissioner in order to win the jackpot.
