Mobilis SB Sound Beacon Platform

The Mobilis Sound Beacon system for the blind and visually impaired people (AKA Mobilis SB) is an open platform designed to integrate with the various services that can be developed by integration partners.

Key components of the Mobilis platform

  • Sound Beacons (for buildings, transport, traffic lights, private, specialized, etc.).
  • Voice announcers (including scoreboards for stations, airplanes, etc.) [in development]
  • Application for beacon user for smartphone / tablet
  • Application for beacon administrator for smartphone / tablet
  • Pocket device activator for blind users who do not use smartphones
  • Cloud service radarus.net that supports the database of beacons and additional contextual information on them
  • Other components that provide platform operation

Software extensions integration

The Mobilis SB system is designed as a system that can be expanded by adding Extensions (modules, applications, functions) developed by integration partners. Intergration is possivle at virtually all levels of the system. Integration is provided by:

  • API of the cloud service radarus.net (including the possibility of storing data for serverless extensions)
  • Activity Call / URL call to integrate user and administrator applications
  • SDK for mobile user application (for the development of specialized / adapted versions of the apps)
  • Lightweight weblet extensions for user and admin applications
  • BigData non-personalized statistic API of the cloud service radarus.net for integration with the system “smart city”

Hardware extensions integration

Mobilis Beacons for buildings support dual TTL input / output for sensors, possible configurations:

  • TTL inpuy
  • TTL output
  • Half-duplex TTL output / output (OneWire)
  • Analog output (0V..3V)
  • Analog input (0V..3V)
  • Serial

Additional integration and extension of transport beacons The transport version of the Mobilis becaons (for external route announcements) supports integration with the following interfaces

  • RS485 / RS422
  • Bluetooth LE and Bluetooth Classic
  • Input signal “door unlocked”
  • Output signal “blind user at the stop”

Optional parts available

  • Optically insulated voltage sensor Mobilis U sensor (8V .. 48V), protected non-polar input to 200V, indication of efficiency
  • Optically insulated current sensor Mobilis I sensor (10mA .. 2A), protected non-polar input, indication of efficiency
  • Optically isolated contactor Mobilis Relay, NO (1A), protected non-polar output
  • Optically isolated I / O RS485
  • Optically isolated input RS422

Currently, the system in process of integration with various systems of the internal voice of the transport to automatically select the route (available option of manual configuration of the route through the mobile application of the driver).
